Hello,

I try to show a wmv-movie within the intranet, but after clicking on the 'play' button, the movie won't start.

In the eventlog the following entry appear:

EventQueue.ProcessMessage: Message Processing Failed
ProcessorType: DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.EventMessageProcessor, DotNetNuke
Body:
Sender:
BusinessControllerClass: DotNetNuke.Modules.Media.MediaController, DotNetNuke.Modules.Media
DesktopModuleId: 78
UpgradeVersionsList: 03.02.00,03.02.03
ExceptionMessage: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Server-Name: IIS-08

Has anyone an idea of what is wrong?

I'm using DNN 4.9.0. In my testing system all works fine, in the live-system the error shown above comes up...

Best regards and thanks

Joerh

Dotnetnuke.Modules,Media is the core dotnetnuke media module, it's not our media player module. You should post your question in the forums at www.dotnetnuke.com.

Hello Anthony,

thank you for your replay.
In fact, I have this module installed as well.

But every time, I try to play a wmv-file in your media player, I receive this message in my event log. Do I have to reinstall the media module (the DNN one)?

Best regards

Joerg

The event message processing happens periodically, it won't be happening because you are trying to play a movie. I don't know what the specific problem is, but it is coming from the DNN core media module, so you may find information on what's causing it on the dotnetnuke site.

There is a relevant post in the DNN gemini database: http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/AddAttachment.aspx?ID=6916
