I am and have been using the flash player for a long time. It is a great module. I have just created a site with a number of flash elements in. My client has runa w3c compliance test and come up with 140 errors. I have had a look through these and it looks as if most of them are the flash.

Can you please confirm if there is anything I can do to improve this?

Hi Roger,

The flash player module will output HTML4.01-valid HTML, but if you put it in an XHTML skin you will get validation errors. The main problem is the "embed" tag, which the W3C decided is no longer valid for XHTML-but we need that tag for support of older browsers. We have taken the approach that we'd rather have the module work properly in older browsers than validate in the w3c validator.

We are working on a new produft that will address this issue, but it will not be available for some time yet.
