Our web site, www.oaklandsymphonychorus.org, runs DotNetNuke 4.9.5, and Inventua PayPal module 3.3.2.  This has been working since last fall, but suddenly as of last Friday 4/9, any click on the "Buy Now" button leads to this error instead of the PayPal login screen:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@paypal.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

=== end error message ===

I didn't know if this problem is Inventua or PayPal - so I'm on the phone with PayPal as I type.  PayPal says the customized code for the payment button on our site is no longer current and is causing a server error.  Can you please find out what has changed with PayPal and give us a patch?  We're 5 days short of a major fundraising event for which we hoped to sell tickets on the web site.

Hi Karen,

Paypal made some arbirtrary changes to their code about a month ago & we developed a new version to work around the problem. You can download it from http://www.inventua.com/paypal-overview.content

Anthony,

I just loaded the paypal button to my site and have not been able to get it to work with DNN 5.3.1.  I am trying to use the subscriptions option and when setup, I get nothing but a hung page on paypal.  The url is without any passed information:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr

Thats when using firefox. When using EI7, I get HTTP400 error

If I uncheck the subscriptions option, I get a different URL, but the screen just shows  "return to merchant"

I have tried unchecking about everything to make the transaction simple to troubleshoot and cant get around these errors.  I see that the module is working on your site, but I cant see a place where i am going wrong.

Are you using the latest version for DNN 5, from http://www.inventua.com/paypal-overview.content (version 5.0.2)?

Hi Russell,

Send me an email (support@inventua.com), and I will do a new build & send it to you, to make sure that you have the latest code.
