This is a nice tool but the size of it makes your pages look terrible. It would be nice to control the width of the Search Text Box.

The textbox size can be set in the options page ("textbox size"). Is that what you mean?

Fred's problem is also mine: it would be nice to have more control about the look of the module. The size of the textbox itself is just one parameter. it would be nice. for example, if one could put a linebreak between the google Logo and the textbox (and the checkbox for limiting the search) - maybe allow for a vertical and a horizontal display mode? Or maybe make the source-code for the display editable in your distribution, so that the admin can tweek the look a bit?
And also the possibility to display the results in a pane of choice - instead of another browser - would be appreciated :-)
That aside: thanks for this helpful and easy to use tool (it was on the "wanted" list of my boss for one of our customer's portals: Job done).

The module is designed to comply with the "Google Free" terms of service, which states:

" You shall not, and shall not allow any third party to: (a) edit, modify, truncate, filter or change the order of the information contained in any Results (either individually or collectively), including, without limitation, by way of commingling Results with non-Google provided search results or advertising; (b) frame any Results or Results Page; (c) display any Results in pop-up, pop-under, exit windows, expanding buttons, or animation; (d) display any Results to any third parties other than End Users; (e) minimize, remove or otherwise inhibit the full and complete display of any Results Page (including any Results); (f) directly or indirectly access, launch and/or activate the Service through or from, or otherwise incorporate the Service in, any Client Application, Web site or other means other than the Site, and then only to the extent expressly permitted herein..."

The clear indication from this (and the other terms of service) are that the behaviour you are after is not a permitted use of the service.
